About the Event

Rising SEAs is a conference designed for Southeast Asian high school students who are interested in applying to the University of Washington Seattle. The purpose of the conference is to encourage, motivate and empower Southeast Asian students to purse higher education, as well as to give them an opportunity to experience what the University of Washington has to offer.

Participants will meet UW staff and current UW Southeast Asian students, receive information on college admission, campus programs, and resources. Through interactive workshops, the collective space will provide an opportunity for participants to share their Southeast Asian cultural experience and build community with fellow participants in preparation to be a competitive applicant to UW.

Prioritizing Health

Our priority is the health and safety of our students and community. P&G Experience will be hosted in a virtual format. Though we are moving to a virtual setting, we plan to deliver the same valuable content as we would in-person. If you do not have access to a laptop or reliable Wi-Fi to participate, please contact us at reach@uw.edu.

Parent/Guardian Permission Form

Students are required to submit a parent/guardian permission form to participate in the virtual conference. You will be emailed a permission slip via DocuSign several days before the conference. As soon as you receive it, please have your parent/guardian digitally submit the form.

Accessibility

The University of Washington is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation in our services, programs, activities, education and employment for individuals with disabilities. To request disability accommodations, please contact the Disability Services Office at least 10 days in advance of the virtual conference at 206.543.6450 (voice), 206.543.6452 (TTY), 206.685.7264 (Fax), or dso@uw.edu (email).
