🎓 Get Ready for the November 15 UW Application Deadline — Virtual Workshops!

Washington seniors, Class of 2026: apply to the UW with confidence by joining a free online Application Workshop led by UW admissions counselors and current Huskies.

What you’ll get

  • Last minute support for completing the Common App
  • Pro tips to polish your UW personal statement and activities sections
  • Live Zoom feedback—bring your drafts and questions!

Attend the full session or drop in when you can.

Space is limited. Please register for one workshop only—each session covers the same material.

Who should attend

All Washington seniors applying as first-year students to the UW are welcome. Students who identify as American Indian/Alaska Native, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and/or Southeast Asian may find these workshops especially supportive.

About the Event

Native American Student Day is a one-day conference for high school students who are interested in attending the University of Washington Seattle. NASD was created to encourage students to pursue higher education as well as give them the opportunity to experience the UW. Attendees will meet current UW staff and students, learn about campus programs, attend a UW admissions presentation, prepare for a successful first-year application, and discover the diversity and unity that exist in the UW community.

Native American Student Day is open to all WA state 9th – 11th grade students, and aims to create a welcoming, inclusive space for American Indian/Alaska Native students and anyone interested in building community, exploring American Indian/Alaska Native cultures, and connecting with student organizations and support resources available at the UW.

Due to space capacity and specific programming, advanced registration is required, and this event is for students only (no additional guests).

Rising SEAs is a conference designed for high school students who are interested in applying to the University of Washington Seattle. The purpose of the conference is to encourage, motivate and empower students to purse higher education, as well as to give them an opportunity to experience what the University of Washington has to offer.

Participants will meet UW staff and current UW Southeast Asian students, receive information on college admission, campus programs, and resources. Through interactive workshops, the collective space will provide an opportunity for participants to share their cultural experience and build community with fellow participants to prepare for a successful first-year application

The purpose of the conference is to encourage, motivate and empower Southeast Asian students to purse higher education, as well as to give them an opportunity to experience what the University of Washington has to offer.

Participants will meet UW staff and current UW Southeast Asian students, receive information on college admission, campus programs, and resources. Through interactive workshops, the collective space will provide an opportunity for participants to share their Southeast Asian cultural experience and build community with fellow participants in preparation to be a competitive applicant to UW.

Prioritizing Health

Our priority is the health and safety of our students and community. P&G Experience will be hosted in a virtual format. Though we are moving to a virtual setting, we plan to deliver the same valuable content as we would in-person. If you do not have access to a laptop or reliable Wi-Fi to participate, please contact us at reach@uw.edu.

Parent/Guardian Permission Form

Students are required to submit a parent/guardian permission form to participate in the virtual conference. You will be emailed a permission slip via DocuSign several days before the conference. As soon as you receive it, please have your parent/guardian digitally submit the form.

This program is open to all high school students in Washington. However, students from Southeast Asian backgrounds may find this program of particular interest. Southeast Asian students include but are not limited to the Khmer, Khmer Loeu, Khmer Krom, Hmong, Mien, Khmu, Lao, Taidam, Tai Lue, Vietnamese, Cham, Montagnards, Karen ethnic heritages. This community also includes students from Bhutanese and Burmese heritages, however, people of all identities are welcome.

Parent/Guardian Permission Form

All participants are required to complete the UW Emergency Contact and Permission Form prior to attending the conference. A parent or guardian must provide a signature as part of this process. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to complete the form online via DocuSign. You may also access the form directly [here].
