Rising SEAs is a conference designed for Southeast Asian high school students who are interested in applying to the University of Washington Seattle. The purpose of the conference is to encourage, motivate and empower Southeast Asian students to purse higher education, as well as to give them an opportunity to experience what the University of Washington has to offer.
Participants will meet UW staff and current UW Southeast Asian students, receive information on college admission, campus programs, and resources. Through interactive workshops, the collective space will provide an opportunity for participants to share their Southeast Asian cultural experience and build community with fellow participants in preparation to be a competitive applicant to UW.
Prioritizing Health
Our priority is the health and safety of our students and community. P&G Experience will be hosted in a virtual format. Though we are moving to a virtual setting, we plan to deliver the same valuable content as we would in-person. Description
“Poly Day” as it is commonly known, is a celebration of the Polynesian culture hosted by the Polynesian Student Alliance at the University of Washington. This popular event showcases authentic Polynesian and Pacific Islander music, dance, and regalia from the islands right at the heart of the UW campus. There will be workshops for high school students that will cover the university admissions process, keynote speakers, Polynesian history and more! Around noon, the members of PSA will host the signature celebration of “Poly Day,” in honor of their heritage for all to attend.
This annual event aims to voice the presence of a lively and active P.I. community on campus and motivate younger generations of P.I.s to pursue higher education at the UW.This year is the 20th annual Poly Day, a momentous occasion for the UW Polynesian student community. The theme for this year is Talanoa: Binding of Stories.

Young, Gifted, & Black (YGB) is designed to engage African American high school students interested in the University of Washington. The purpose of this conference is to promote positive self-esteem, social consciousness, and cultural awareness, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of higher education. The workshops and interactions with current African American UW students, staff, and the community will provide both the resources and role models to help students make a commitment to pursue higher education. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the UW and discover all the possibilities awaiting.

RISE was created to encourage, motivate, and empower Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander students to pursue higher education, as well as give them the opportunity to experience the UW. Attendees will meet current UW staff & students as well as future classmates, learn about campus programs, attend a UW admissions presentation, and discover the diversity and unity that exists in the UW community.

We will be providing transportation from the following locations: Tri-Cities, Sunnyside, Yakima, Moses Lake, Quincy, and Wenatchee. A link to sign up for transportation will be in the confirmation email you receive after registering.
